DENVER (KDVR) — One person is dead after a shooting early Monday morning near the junction of Interstates 70 and 270, according to the Denver Police Department.
The shooting happened in the 3800 block of North Quebec Street, which is the border between Denver’s Northeast Park Hill and Central Park neighborhoods. It is also just on the other side of I-270 from the Shops at Northfield.
Police first reported the shooting just after 7 a.m. on X, saying one person was taken to a hospital. An hour later, police updated to say the victim had died and the shooting is now being investigated as a homicide.
This is a developing story and will be updated. Police said they are working to develop suspect information but have not released any details or what led up to the shooting.
