LAHORE: Punjab’s athletes, selected through rigorous trials held across all divisions, are scheduled to arrive in Lahore on Sunday (today) to begin their two-week training camps for the 35th National Games.

Director Admin Dr. M Kaleem shared this update during a meeting held at the National Hockey Stadium on Saturday to review preparations for the camps.

The meeting was attended by Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, Deputy Director Chand Perveen, Yasmeen Akhtar, and all administrators of the Nishtar Park Sports Complex.

Administrators presented reports on cleanliness and other arrangements to ensure a conducive environment for the athletes.

Dr. M Kaleem emphasized that all preparations have been completed for the camps, which will commence on April 14 under the supervision of qualified coaches. He instructed the administrators to ensure top-notch cleanliness, availability of drinking water, and comfortable residential facilities for the athletes throughout the training period.

Dr. M Kaleem remarked, “The two-week training camps will equip athletes with modern techniques to prepare them for the National Games. The best possible facilities will be provided to all participants to ensure they are fully ready for the competition.”
