Keanu Reeves joined the F1 race with new docuseries as Brad Pitt crossed the checkered flag at the box office with F1: The Movie.

The John Wick star will helm a new documentary series in the making as both producer and host, focusing on the Cadillac racing team as they prepare to enter Formula 1, the top level of international car racing featuring fast, open-wheel cars.

“I’m very honored and excited to be a part of telling the remarkable Cadillac Formula 1 Team story and its incredible journey into the world of Formula 1 racing,” the 60-year-old actor told Formula1.com on Wednesday, July 2.

He added, “Our goal with the docuseries is to bring audiences into the heart of this journey and showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world.”

Reportedly, the Matrix star will give viewers exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Cadillac’s journey in building its Formula 1 team, offering a rare look at how a new F1 operation comes together.

The upcoming, untitled series on the horizon is slated to be released before Cadillac’s first official race, scheduled for next March at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

As a motorsport enthusiast in real life, Reeves is stepping onto the reel-life racetrack following Pitt, who produced and stars as racer-for-hire Sonny Hayes in Joseph Kosinski’s critically acclaimed sports drama F1, which has already grossed $161.9 million against its $300 million budget in its opening weekend.
