SPRING, Texas (KTRK) — An hourslong search for an 11-year-old boy who fell into a creek in Spring has come to a tragic end, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman.
The search for the boy was promoted about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3700 block of Cypresswood Drive after a caller told deputies that his friend had fallen into the river and could not see him, Herman’s office shared on social media.
Multiple rescue teams were called out for the search, but before 11 p.m., Herman’s office said, “It is with heavy hearts that we informed you that the search for the 11-year-old that fell into Cypress Creek has ended.”
Adding that “rescue teams have located the child, and he has been confirmed deceased.”
The young boy’s name was not immediately released.
