ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– State Police arrested a Schenectady man twice for allegedly burglarizing Albany businesses at the end of January. Troopers said Julio Jimenez, 48, is facing multiple charges.
Troopers said they arrested Jimenez for the first time on January 24 after receiving a complaint from a business about a past burglary. Jimenez is accused of breaking into the closed Swan Street business on the afternoon of January 20, damaging the cash register, stealing money from the register, and leaving on foot.
Troopers arrested Jimenez again on January 24 after allegedly breaking into an Empire State Plaza business on January 23, damaging the cash register, and stealing items. Troopers added that they recovered the stolen items when taking Jimenez into custody.
Jimenez was processed at the State Police barracks in the Capital twice and remains in Albany County Jail after his arraignment. Below is a list of the charges Jimenez is facing.
Charges
- Two counts of third-degree burglary
- Two counts of third-degree criminal mischief
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property
