There’s many a slip ’twixt the cup and the lip. Giving a taoiseach an extra 24 hours to mull over his cabinet selections is a dangerous game.
After the farce of the Dáil sitting to elect a new taoiseach yesterday, Micheál Martin will go again this morning. The assumption is that he had in his pocket a list of ministers who were due to be appointed last night.
