For a nation that regards itself as one of the friendliest, we’ve got a new more unwelcome label – Ireland is the loneliest place in Europe.
All of us feel lonely at times: it’s part of being human. But loneliness has reached epidemic proportions, and unless we get to grips with it, we’re going to reap a massive social failure, leaving many broken hearts.
