AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Main Street in downtown Amsterdam will be buzzing with people and activities on May 17 during the Spring Fling Festival. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., downtown will offer several activities for a Saturday afternoon of family fun.
The Spring Fling Festival is the first outdoor party of the year. It features a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, bounce houses, vendors, and food trucks.
The festival also has a live DJ from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and karaoke from 2:30 to 5 p.m. It also allows the community to visit downtown businesses and enjoy the spring weather.
Spring Fling is going to be the fun-filled kick-off to what promises to be an entertaining and action-packed spring and summer full of great outdoor things to do in Amsterdam,” Amsterdam Mayor Michael Cinquanti said. “Looking forward to great food, great music, fun for the kids, lots of vendors, great friends and great (fingers-crossed) weather!’
