Eduard Rapi, 46, admitted producing cannabis at his home in Hawthorn Drive on October 23 last year.
Cannabis worth up to £41,000 was discovered when police officers raided a flat in Coatbridge.
Officers found plants and dried material in the loft, Airdrie Sheriff Court heard this week.

He also admitted interfering with the electricity meter in order to provide heat and light for the illegal cultivation.
Flora McCamley, prosecuting, said police officers arrived with a search warrant.
They found Rapi and two other individuals in the flat.

She told the court: “They found 30 cannabis plants growing in the loft along with 6.3 kilos of plant material that was drying out.
“The plants were valued at between £6000 and £18,000, while the dried cannabis had a maximum value of £23,000.”
Rapi, who attended court with an interpreter, has no previous convictions and sentence was deferred until May for background reports.
Sheriff Paul Haran told him: “This is a very serious offence and custody will be an option in my mind.”
