DENVER (KDVR) — A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day has been issued Monday evening for snow showers in the Denver weather forecast, and especially for areas south and west of the metro, that could contribute to slick roads.

Weather tonight: Evening snow, clearing overnight
Winter weather advisories continue Monday night until 10 p.m.

Travel could be difficult in the Front Range foothills and toward the Palmer Divide as another 1-4 inches of snow falls.

As the snow wraps up Monday night, temperatures will stay cold and fall to the teens.

Weather tomorrow: Sunny, chilly
A few light snow showers will linger in the mountains on Tuesday. But, most of the day will see clearing clouds and plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures will stay on the chilly side, only reaching the upper 30s, which is 5 degrees below normal for this time of year. It will be a breezy day as well with wind gusts up to around 30 mph, which will make temperatures feel about 10 degrees colder.
Looking ahead: Sunny, warmer second half of the week
The next big change moves in Wednesday. Clear sky will lead to a chilly start to the day, but sunshine will aid in boosting high temperatures back up to the lower 50s.

Sunshine and warmer than normal temperatures in the 50s stick around for the end of the week and into the weekend.
