Department of State 2024 TechWomen Program Concludes in Washington, D.C. – United States Department of State

Nearly 100 emerging leaders from the Middle East, Africa, and South and Central Asia concluded the 2024 TechWomen program this week.  The Department of State’s premier exchange program for women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), TechWomen provides mentoring opportunities for participants with U.S. women leaders in their respective fields, with an aim to encourage more women and girls to pursue STEM careers.

The 2024 TechWomen participants — representing Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, the Kyrgyz Republic, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Palestinian territories, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe — spent five weeks engaging in professional mentorship, cultural immersion, and impact coaching with U.S.-based STEM counterparts in Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area before heading to Washington, D.C. for the program finale.
