The Nanny star Fran Drescher has shared details of her personal life, including her open romance and friends with benefits
Fran Drescher, best known for her role as Fran Fine in the hit US sitcom The Nanny, has candidly opened up about her personal life.
The 67 year old actress and union leader was married to Peter Marc Jacobson, also 67, who is an actor, writer, director, and producer, during the show’s run from 1993 to 1999.
Following her divorce, Fran had a relationship with entrepreneur Shiva Ayyadurai between 2014 and 2016, but since then, she has kept her love life away from the public eye.

Now, the television icon has given fans a glimpse into her current romantic situation, disclosing that she maintains an open romance.
In a conversation with PageSix, Fran divulged: “I have a little rotation,” and quipped: “I’m Fran Drescher. What do you think?”
These revelations follow her previous statements in interviews where she expressed no intention of remarrying and mentioned enjoying “friends with benefits” over serious relationships.
In 2022, Fran Dreschler revealed that her bond with ex-husband Peter Marc Jacobson had grown stronger over time, surpassing what they had during their marriage.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, she shared: “[Peter and I are] closer than when we were married.”
She also referred to Peter as her “soulmate.”
Fran elaborated: “We are divorced, but still single because it is hard to compete with what we shared. We have been together since we were 15 and we’ve been through so much.”
Peter echoed similar sentiments, saying: “When you are lucky in life and you meet your soulmate, there is nothing that can tear you apart.
“We vacation together. We do everything together… It is a deep, deep love.”
At the time, Peter also expressed his reluctance to remarry, stating: “I don’t think there is any reason to get married – it is just a license. It is the heart, not a signed piece of paper.”
Meanwhile, fans of The Nanny had been eagerly anticipating a stage revival of the beloved sitcom, which originally aired for six seasons and 146 episodes.
Fran had previously mentioned: “We’re going to resurrect it but between the [writers and actors] strike, my dad passing away and now the Palisades fires, which impacted my house… there’s only so much I can do.”
