It’s been a pretty good week for crisp lovers in the UK, who recently found out that a childhood favourite is making a comeback. We’re talking of course, about Walkers Worcester Sauce.

And if that weren’t exciting enough, Hula Hoops has just announced it’s going to be making a change to the product range in the UK, adding a brand new flavour.

Fans of the ring-shaped crisps will soon be able to enjoy a twist on the classic, with new Smoky Bacon Hula Hoops launching at the end of March.

But there is a bit of a catch… you won’t be able to buy the crisps in all UK supermarkets.

From March 31 the new flavour, which is meant to taste like ‘perfectly grilled bacon’ will be available on the shelves in Asda, and then from May 19 onwards shoppers at Morrisons will also be able to get their hands on packets.

If you don’t shop in either of these places, you’re out of luck, as these are the only spots you’ll be able to find them.

The new crisps will be sold as part of a six-pack multipack which will cost £2.35 and the team at Hula Hoop claims they are ‘iconic’.

Sasha Finan, the brand manager for Hula Hoops, said: ‘We’re incredibly excited to add the classic Smoky Bacon flavour to the Hula Hoops line-up! Being such an iconic flavour, Smoky Bacon is sure to delight both long-time fans and newcomers alike.

‘At Hula Hoops, we’re all about adding joyful fun to snacking moments, and this tasty new addition is perfect for shaking up your mealtimes.’

This comes after the news about Worcester Sauce crisps returning, with the Walkers announcement causing a stir as the beloved flavour will also only be available to buy in specific shops.

The crisps, which were discontinued back in 2023, will only be sold in Charlie’s Convenience Store in Worcester, on 59 Barbourne Road, meaning you’ll have to make quite the trip if you don’t live in the West Midlands.

If you are in the area, they’ll be available from March 4, at 10am, but you’ll want to hurry because there’s only a limited supply available.

It’s not clear how many packets have been produced, or how long they will be sold for, so it’s better to be safe than sorry. We have a feeling there will be quite a queue too.

Crisp fans will also want to watch out if their favourite snack is Oriun Turtle Chips – specifically the sweetcorn flavour.

That’s because the product has been recalled due to fears it could contain ingredients dangerous to allergy sufferers.

The four-layered crisps could contain traces of milk, soya and wheat, which some people are allergic to.

Orion Turtle Chips are often sold in world food shops and online, including at Oriental Mart.
