RCB skipper Rajat Patidar has said that the team will try and win the IPL 2025 title for Virat Kohli ahead of the final against PBKS on Tuesday, June 3. Kohli has been RCB’s best batter this season with 614 runs in 14 matches and an average over 55. The Indian star has been eyeing the IPL title for a long time and this will be his fourth final with RCB.
Speaking ahead of the final, Patidar hailed Kohli and said that he has done a lot for the Indian national team and RCB over the years and the team will try their best give him the title on Tuesday.
“Virat has contributed so much over the years, winning would mean a lot, especially for him and the fans,” said Patidar.
Kohli is the highest run-getter is the highest run-getter in the history of IPL and the only accolade missing for him is the title itself.
‘We will know about Tim David in the evening’
Patidar also gave an update on the availability of Tim David ahead of the final. The RCB skipper said that the doctors will check on the Aussie big-hitter on Monday and then they will make a call on him.
“Doctors will let us know this evening,” said Patidar.
Patidar, who became RCB captain this season, said that leading the team has been a great learning experience for him. He said that the focus was on creating a relaxed environment in the team.
“Expectations come naturally, especially when you’re leading a team like RCB in a final, but I always focus on what’s in my control and try to stay in the present. This captaincy journey has been a great learning experience for me, being around some of the best leaders and foreign players in the game has really shaped my approach. I’ve focused on creating a relaxed and secure environment, where both domestic and international players feel confident. We’re not thinking too much about the stage; we’re here to play our best cricket. Facing Shreyas again in a final is a nice coincidence, but the challenge is new, and we’re prepared for it.”
