Regina police warn sex offender considered high risk to reoffend at large | CBC News


Police in Regina are warning the public a man who is considered a high risk to reoffend sexually is unlawfully at large. 

Jason Paul Thorn, 48, has a criminal history of sexual offences and a history of reoffending, Regina police said in a Wednesday news release.

Thorn had been living under court-ordered conditions at a residence that provides supervision and monitoring of his activities in the Heritage neighbourhood of Regina since his statutory release on March 31, 2025.

Police said their latest attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

He poses a high risk for sexual offences against female children, according to police.

Thorn is described as five feet nine inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds, with a medium build. He has brown eyes and greying black hair.

Police are asking anyone who has information that could help find him to contact the them at 306-777-6500. 

Police said their warning is intended to enable members of the public to take suitable precautions, and warned people not to engage in any form of vigilantism or other unreasonable conduct directed at Thorn.
