THREE men have been charged after a motor was allegedly stolen and set alight.
Police rushed to Wallace Avenue in Buckie, Moray, last night after the alarm was raised.
Officers attended the address around 7.40pm after received reports of a vehicle fire.
Firefighters attended and extinguished the blaze.
Cops arrested and charged three men, aged 31, 32 and 36, over the alleged incident.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Three men, aged 36, 32 and 31 have been arrested and charged in connection with theft of a vehicle and vandalism in Buckie.
“Around 7.40pm on Tuesday, 27 May, 2025 officers attended at Wallace Avenue following reports of a vehicle fire and a disturbance.
“The fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Inspector Andy Meikleham said: “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and I would like to reassure the public that we will act on any information we receive and thoroughly investigate any incidents that do happen.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.37pm on Tuesday, 27 May to reports of a vehicle fire in Buckie.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene, close to the Victoria Bridge, where firefighters were met by a well-developed fire involving a car.
“Crews extinguished the fire and thereafter left the area.”
