Officers are currently on scene dealing with a collision between a Hyundai Tucson and a pedestrian on the Marchwood Bypass, at the junction with Staplewood Lane.
As part of enquiries, a 43-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving, and she remains in custody at this time.
Whilst emergency services manage the scene, there are road closures in place meaning that traffic is currently unable to flow southbound along Marchwood Bypass from Staplewood Lane.
However, traffic is currently able to flow northbound.
There is also a further closure in place at Twiggs Lane.

A police spokesperson said: “We expect the road closures to remain in place for several hours, and ask that people please avoid this area for the time being, and seek an alternative route where possible.
“We will endeavour to provide you updates regarding the road network when we can, and we thank you for your patience at this time.
