Called ‘Crash Course’ it sees two contestants get into ‘Atlaspheres’ which are essentially metal zorb balls.
They have to make their way around a course while being blocked by two gladiators, also in ‘Atlaspheres’.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) fans were divided on the new game.
Gladiators is back tonight at the later time of 7pm on BBC One.
It’s the 2nd Quarter-Final where Joe from Scarborough takes on Lewis from Tredegar and Aneila from Manchester takes on Amanda from Warrington. 🔴🔵 PLUS there’s a new event crashing into the arena 💥🌐💨 #Gladiators pic.twitter.com/a0wpmqA9JQ

On the positive side, one person wrote: “Quite like AtlasSpheres. The race element is simple but entertaining”.
Another shared: “New game is more fun than the actual Atlasphere game. People just love to moan”.
A third said: “Crash course seems a little strange but it’s nice they’re trying something a bit different with the atlaspheres.”
Not everyone was a fan though as one posted: “Mmmm not sure on that new game crash course”.
Another said: “What is this Crash Course nonsense”.
A third commented: “In two minds about Atlaspheres: Crash Course”.
One person was quite harsh, saying: “Love gladiators but crash course is f****** dire”.
