From April 1, the rule will be enforced, with fines issued to those who do not comply.
To raise awareness of the ban an initial two-week public notification period will begin from Monday, March 17 where awareness notices [not fines] will be placed on vehicles parked irresponsibly to highlight the new rules.

From the start date, fines will begin to be issued by Renfrewshire parking attendants for non-compliance.
Failure to park according to the new legislation will result in a £100 Penalty Charge Notice, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days.
All exemptions will be made clear to drivers through appropriate signage and road markings.
