The newly opened clifftop sauna delighting visitors to Lepe Beach

Solace Sauna is on a mission to create a healthier, happier community – one sauna session at a time.

It’s currently delighting visitors on weekends with plans to extend its hours and add an ice bath and changing facilities.

The fledgling business, which has been open for two weeks, is the brainchild of young entrepreneur Bailey Foreman.

She works as a junior psychologist during the week, hot footing it five minutes from her Holbury home to open the sauna on Saturdays and Sundays.

“While I was at university, I experienced a sauna with my family and it was just the most beautiful experience. We all felt so connected and had a really relaxing time.

“I knew immediately I wanted to create a community space like this one day, but I wasn’t quite sure how. Four years later, here we are!

“I just think it’s the perfect spot where the New Forest meets the sea. It’s so beautiful.

“There’s a lot of talk that saunas are the new pub or even the church, but I just think it’s a great spot to meet up and feel part of a community.”

It boasts an accessibility rail and ramp and can range in temperature between 60 and 90 degrees celsius.

It’s already been enjoyed by yoga and pilates groups with a men’s mental health group coming soon. Visitors to the beach are also loving the many health benefits, including elevated mood, boosted metabolism, pain management, disease prevention and respiratory benefits.

The on site cold shower and the nearby sea are proving perfect for contrast therapy enthusiasts.

Reflective film on the window overlooking the sea reflects the sun and means users can enjoy spectacular views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight while hidden from passers by.
