NAMED: Three men to appear in court charged with commercial burglaries


Shortly before 2.50am on Saturday (April 5), police were called to a report of a burglary in progress at Bovis House, Victoria Road, Hartlepool.

Three males were reported to have been seen carrying away bags of items from several businesses based inside the building.

Officers attended and numerous enquiries throughout the day soon led to three men (aged 42, 46 and 62) being arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Some of the alleged stolen property was recovered and will be returned to the rightful owners.

Christopher Raw, 42, Keith Mark Gorse, 46, and John Francis Grey, 62, have been charged with four counts of burglary, and one was also charged with possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class B drug. 

The men have been remanded in custody until their appearance at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today (April 7).
