Located on Gadbury Fold, The Talbot has been a popular spot for its drinks selection, food menu, beer garden, and events.
Temporarily closing on Monday, April 14, the pub’s revamp will feature two distinct areas, including a vibrant bar and a welcoming family lounge, designed around the needs of families.
A central partition will create these separate spaces, allowing guests to enjoy everything they love under one roof and providing a place for everyone to feel they belong.

The refurb will include new TV screens (Image: The Talbot) With locals still able to enjoy the pub’s drinks offers, varied food options, and midweek deals, the renovation will also add 4k TV screens to showcase a variety of live sports.
General Manager, Jonathan Brooke said: “The refurbishment will create the ideal setting for our community to come together and enjoy delicious food, drinks, and great company, regardless of the occasion!
“We’re excited to welcome everyone back and showcase the fantastic changes we will have made.
“The Talbot will be the perfect spot to spend time with those closest to you whether you are looking to enjoy the sun out in the beer garden, or make the most of the live entertainment or sports.”
With Marstons investing approximately £351,955 into the pub improvements, the Talbot is planned to reopen after a three week temporary closure on Thursday, May 8.
