The incident occurred at 10.26am today (January 24) on the A689 Eastbound near to Wynyard.
Emergency services were on the scene, with the ambulance service dispatching an ambulance crew, duty officer, and a specialist paramedic to the site.
The condition of the patient transported to hospital remains unknown.

Emergency services are continuing to work on clearing the road.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area while the police resolve the incident.

(Image: TERRY BLACKBURN) A North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic incident on the A689, eastbound, Wynyard at 10.26am this morning (Friday 24 January).
“We dispatched one ambulance crew, one duty officer, and one specialist paramedic to the incident. One patient was taken to North Tees Hospital.”
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “The A689 eastbound near Wynyard is currently closed from the Stockton Road roundabout (A689) to the A177 due to an overturned heavy goods vehicle.
“Drivers are being urged to avoid the area whilst the incident is dealt with. Thank you for your patience!”
