At around 9pm on Sunday, January 5, officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Bannerman Place in Clydebank.
A female officer was struck by the vehicle as it made off from the scene.
She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.
The man driving the car was traced and arrested and charged in connection with the incident on Friday, February 7.
The 27-year-old is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, February 10.
