Drag Race star shuts down backlash to gag-worthy All Stars 10 moment

Mistress Isabelle Brooks has no time for outrage over her latest act of deceit and deception on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10, as she’s asked fans to “stop crucifying” her for “making good TV”.

In a new interview, the Texas-based drag diva said that those who are taking Drag Race seriously are “stupid as f**k”.

Bracket two of All Stars 10 has drawn to a close, and provided us with three of the most jaw-dropping episodes in recent Drag Race herstory.

Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige might be Queen of Flips, but this bracket’s puppeteer Mistress Isabelle Brooks is Queen of Tricks.

From episode one, she (with a little help from her right-hand woman, Jorgeous) was hoodwinking her competitors, Kerri Colby, Tina Burner, Nicole Paige Brooks. Lydia B. Kollins, Mistress’s new drag daughter, managed to get away from being a victim of her tomfoolery.

The beginning of episode two saw Mistress ensnare Jorgeous into an impromptu plan to dupe Kerri and Nicole out of MVQ points. Jorgeous and Mistress took the points offered by Kerri and Nicole, but then decided to offer their own points to each other, leaving themselves with two points and Nicole and Kerri with none. Obviously, Nicole and Kerri were left gagging.

Mistress’s cunning didn’t stop there; at the beginning of episode three, she falsely told Kerri and Nicole that Tina and Lydia were planning to do the same thing, leaving Tina riled up.

At the end of episode three, with all challenges completed and Jorgeous and Lydia confirmed to make it through to the semi-finals, it was up to the remaining queens to give their point away and determine the third queen to make it to the next round. 

Nicole and Tina gave their points to Kerri, taking her to four points. Kerri gave her point to Tina, taking her to three. It was then up to Mistress – who had 4.5 points – to share who she’d decided to give her point to, and determine whether she or Kerri would advance.

In a gagworthy move, Mistress revealed that she had given her point to Lydia – who was already advancing – leaving Kerri out in the cold. It means that Mistress will join Lydia and Jorgeous in the semi-final.

“The first week I did something very nasty and out of character and I stole Nicole and Kerri’s point, and I did tell Kerri I was going to give her point and I do think she did very well this challenge,” Mistress said on stage.

“However, I knew she was going to be a fake b*tch and not give me her point. So I gave my point to Lydia.”

In her confessional, Kerri fiercely bit back at Mistress, saying: “You know what, b*ch? Yeah I am a motherf**king fake b*tch to you girl because like, what the f**k? You’ve been nothing but fake this entire f**king competition. You really f**king tried me and I know you feel like sh*t for that, you b*tch.”

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the fallout from the episode – and the whole bracket – Mistress Isabelle Brooks urged people to lighten up and enjoy the game.

“I wish more people would publicly celebrate the shenanigans, because that’s what drag is all about. The sooner people stop crucifying the girls for making good TV, that’s when we’ll get more iconic moments just like this,” she said.

“I don’t give a f**k ‘ruining’ people’s lives and acting a fool on TV, because to me it’s just TV.”

She continued: “I think for any bitch to take this serious, you must not know what you’re signing up for. That’s like if we went on Family Feud and I’m f***ing crying because I lost. That sounds stupid as f**k. We’re all here to play a game.”

In a statement shared on her X/Twitter page yesterday, Mistress thanked her co-stars for making bracket two “chaotic and unhinged”.

“Before the last episode of bracket 2 comes out I just want to say how special and iconic this journey has been! This experience has been so different than my original season of Drag Race and I am forever grateful for those of you who continue to support and show love,” she wrote. 

“Since the start I wanted the girls to focus on making ICONIC TV … and that we most definitely did. This bracket has been so cut throat, shady, chaotic and unhinged. I am truly a fan of each and every one of my sisters. They are all so f**king amazing in their own right and I can’t wait for y’all to see how this all plays out.”
