(KRON) — A 35-year-old San Francisco man was arrested after walking out of a Target store with more than a thousand dollars of stolen goods in his shopping cart, said Colma Police.
Colma Police said officers were patrolling the Serra Center Shopping Center on March 2 when they were flagged down at 4:02 p.m. by Target loss prevention officers for a theft in progress. Police were notified that the suspect was nearing the store’s exit with a full shopping cart of merchandise.
After he left, the man was soon escorted back inside the store by Target security where he was taken into custody by Colma police. The amount of the merchandise (pictured below) was valued at approximately $1,149.67.

Police said the suspect, identified as Gaurav Mohta, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and burglary, and booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
