AT this time of year the nights have fair drawn in, the frost is nipping at your nose and you’ll no doubt find yourself spending over the odds at some German-themed Christmas market.
But this time of year is ALSO when the Scottish Cup really gets into full swing.

This weekend it’s the third round of the competition. This is the stage when the fairytale stories can start to become reality (think of Darvel, Auchinleck Talbot, et al).
It also precedes the round where Celtic, Rangers and the other Premiership big guns enter the competition.
That means a victory here can set up a potential glamour tie often worth tens of thousands of pounds to clubs in the lower leagues – and beyond.

- The Scottish Cup fourth round draw will take place on Monday, December 2
- It will start at around 9.45pm, following the conclusion of East Kilbride vs Falkirk
- The draw will be held at K-Park in East Kilbride
- It will be live on TV courtesy of BBC Scotland
- The draw will also be available to stream via BBC iPlayer
