He’s officially known as Orville Burrell but to his fans he’s Shaggy – the singer of ‘Boombastic’ fame.
To mark the song’s 30th anniversary, he’s decided to re-release the hit that topped the singles’ charts for weeks all over the world.
As the only diamond-selling dancehall artist in music history, Shaggy has sold more than 40 million albums.
The singer had an unlikely route to becoming a two-time Grammy Award winner: it was during his tenure serving as a US Marine – including a stint during the First Gulf War – that he discovered he had a unique singing talent.
