(KRON) — The Vallejo Police Department said the “unmistakable roar of an engine and the screech of tires” led to a teenage driver being cited for reckless driving.
Vallejo PD said the incident happened Wednesday near Lewis Brown and BW Williams drives. When the officer arrived at the scene to find a cloud of smoke and the smell of burn rubber, he spotted the driver of an Infiniti G37 “still recklessly driving.”

When the 19-year-old male driver was stopped by police, he allegedly told police that “he was doing donuts simply because he was young.”
Vallejo police said the vehicle was impounded by a tow truck and the driver must pay more than $2,600 in fines to get it back.
