Windsor police say two more suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that saw a French bulldog puppy snatched from a teenage girl last month.
On Tuesday, police arrested an 18-year-old, while four days earlier, a 21-year-old was arrested while arriving at Windsor International Airport to take a planned flight.
Both are now facing charges of assault with a weapon and robbery with violence after being taken into custody.
A third suspect, a 15-year-old girl who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested shortly after the incident. She has been charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.
The robbery occurred on the morning of March 16 on College Avenue and South Street, police said in a statement. A 15-year-old girl was walking her French bulldog puppy, Rustin, when she was reportedly approached by two men and a woman, threatened with bear spray before the puppy was stolen.
Rustin was later found and safely returned to his owner, police said.
The Windsor Police Service is asking anyone with further information to contact the Major Crimes Unit or Windsor & Essex County Crime Stoppers.
